The Dakota Center: Celebrating 60 Years of Serving Dayton
Mike Miller serves as Executive Director for the Dakota Center, an active community center serving youth and seniors in Dayton’s MacFarlane neighborhood. Almost sixty years ago, Fr. Hoelle, S.M., founded the Dakota Center because he saw humanity in all persons and understood that a safe environment is key to building character and connecting community. The Dakota Center continues to fulfill that mission today, as they prepare to celebrate sixty years of service next year. Mr. Miller will provide updates on the Center’s programming and activities, as well as their plans for commemorating their anniversary.
