Historic Preservation…Much More Than Saving Old Buildings

For many American cities, the awakening of the historic preservation movement in the 1970s came much too late. Compared to many other cities, Dayton is fortunate in that we have managed to preserve much of our irreplaceable built-environment.  Preservation Dayton has been at the forefront of promoting the  economic, cultural, environmental, and social justice benefits of historic preservation in our region.  We’ll explore these benefits and the preservation challenges facing our community with the help of Monica Snow, President, Preservation Dayton.
