Questions of Innocence: Understanding Wrongful Convictions in Ohio
Pierce Reed, Director of Policy and Engagement, Ohio Innocence Project – Rosenthal Institute for Human Rights, University of Cincinnati College of Law will discuss how and why innocent people are convicted of crimes, and what organizations like the Ohio Innocence Project do to help free innocent people and prevent others from being wrongfully convicted. The Ohio Innocence Project is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. In the past two decades, its work has led to freedom for 42 Ohioans, including three men who had been sentenced to the death penalty.
