Members“
John McCance is the state chairman for the Department of Defense’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve committee. ESGR is a DoD activity that was established by
Congress 53 years ago to strengthen the relationships between civilian employers and their employees that serve in the Guard and Reserve. The ESGR conducts employer
outreach and informs military leadership and Guard and Reserve members of their rights and responsibilities under the governing Federal Law. It also provides an ombudsman
for military members and employers when difficulties arise.
Ohio’s ESGR Committee is made up of 37 Department of Defense volunteer employees supporting those 25K Reserve Component members in all 88 counties.
