Each year the President’s Club of Dayton asks its Service Club Members to nominate an Outstanding Club Member/Volunteer of the Year. This year the board nominated Linda Groover Osterfeld.
Linda Groover Osterfeld has been an outstanding member of the Rotary Club of Dayton since joining in 2011. She has led a number of committees that benefit the greater community. This year, Linda has gone above and beyond and truly demonstrated “Service above Self”, which is our motto in Rotary. Linda is the incoming President Elect of the club and will take over on July 1, 2025. She has been involved in multiple trainings to prepare for this very important role in the club and has spent hours attending meetings online and recently attended our statewide training in Columbus. In order to attend this training, Linda postponed her wedding date to accommodate when this training was scheduled. Linda also leads our Rotary Youth Exchange program and is in charge of making sure our incoming and outgoing students are taken care of. She was also in charge of our program committee, which coordinates our speakers for the entire year. Linda has worked tirelessly to do all of these things throughout the year in addition to volunteering at many of our community service events. Because of all of this, the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Dayton unanimously nominates Linda Groover Osterfeld for this honor as Outstanding Club Member.
